Executive producer:
Purpose and role is to manage and run the whole
production. Mainly the financial controller and the final decision in the
production workflow. Executive also takes charge of the sales and marketing of
the production, raising funds and hire the whole team to execute the script.
Producer:
The producer is on the ground on day-to-day basics of the
production. In some countries they call them production runner, producer plan
all the production schedules and manage the petty cash for the daily expenses.
Music director:
The composer, the master in producing the right sound and
music for the film. A film is 50% sound, having a music director from the start
elevate the production standards and helps the director to direct the mood of
the piece.
Scriptwriter:
The idea guy in the team, a good scriptwriter is well
soughed in a production company, because a well-written script can help save
time, money and manpower during the production. A strong story plot and
production content captivate the audiences and bring the audience to the
destination of the film.
Director:
Probably the one role most people are familiar with, the
director’s role is to communicate with the artists, the production team, to
execute a film, which brings out what the scriptwriter is trying to
communicate. Also known as a conductor in the whole film, he envisions and
synchronizes the whole team to execute the perfect film.

Introduction to 5 fold ministry
How did you come up with this idea to place 5 folds
ministry into a production team?
How it all came together one day? Hmm, I was filming
cooking with love production and was at episode 6 when I went to Malaysia
GA611. While having regular coffee and a time of fellowship with my fellow
media buddies from GA, Lemuel suddenly ask me, “weimin, where is your team?” I
was new to the 611 Church and media was just I and I alone then. It all started
when we heard the Holy Spirit telling us it wasn’t an album that we were
suppose to be recording but to film a television series about a chef who
travels to more than 7 countries cooking for the poor and needy and honoring
the pastors in those countries with a cozy and heart warming meal. The whole
pre-production started out as a conversation with my pastor and I. So when
Lemuel ask me, where is my team, I told him I have none…
It was then I realized the importance of raising a
team, it wasn’t enough if I am good at what I was doing but a true impartation
must take place in the months to come. 8 months since cooking with love I am
sitting down in Starbucks now with my MacBook pro, tying and imparting this
fire which is in me, to see high quality Christians productions impacting and
influencing millions of people all around the world. Encouraging the broken
hearted, bringing the message of hope to the lost, bringing Christ into the
living room of families. Couples married to each other for 20 years will begin
to fall in love with each other again. We will speak of freedom and proclaim
the goodness of God in their families and bring about a change in the family
unit, which in turn will change a society.
5-fold ministry consists of the apostle, the pastor,
the evangelist, the prophet and the teacher. Someone once told me, with 5-fold
ministry in place, even when the ministry grows big it will sustain over time
and increase of manpower. Because it takes 5 a team to keep each other in
check. 5 fold ministry if place in the right position will impart a great
influence and authority in its role.
So here is it, I present to you 611, 5-fold-ministry
production team.
Apostle/Executive producer:
* First an Apostle then an Executive producer.
Redefining the authority and role of an executive
producer. The apostle carries an apostolic anointing and when an apostle says
it shall be done, it carries a flow in the whole team to submit and follow.
Pastor/producer:
* First a Pastor then a Producer.
A producer who takes care of the well being of the entire
production team must carry a pastor’s heart. Often time, when datelines are
near, when everyone is busy in meeting production requirements, its important
to have a pastor in the team who execute the tasks with lots of love and EQ.
Evangelist/Music Director/Editor
* First an Evangelist then a Music Director and Editor
A very unique role, an evangelist brings about the
message of salvation and good news to the hopeless. Like-wise in a production
there is a saying,” a editor/music makes or breaks a production”. Having an
evangelist as your editor and music director will bring worship and salvation
anointing into the film and this will truly transform the audience after they
watch the product.
Prophet/Script writer
* First a Prophet then a scriptwriter
A scriptwriter who is also a prophet will pray earnestly
and receive the script from God, he/she will also know when is the season to
write different kinds of script. This will bring freshness to the team as God
is ever changing and a Prophet having received an anointed script will already
deliver 50% of the product.
Teacher/ Director
* First a teacher then a director
Often times, people misinterpreted the director’s role as
the most important position in the production. The truth is it takes a team to
deliver a production. The director is as good as the team who shoots it. Why is
it then a director is a teacher. Because the director takes the script, very
similar as a teacher in school who takes what the government of education has
produce, and teaches it to a class. In our case, a director takes the script or
idea and interprets it into visuals. His role is to direct, to direct the
actors, to direct the camera men or the person in charged of the camera unit,
the director of photography (DOP) and his role is to direct the editor to
achieve what is in his vision, meaning his interpretation of the script. Which
is why I design the director as a teacher, as his/her role is so ever important
in telling the truth, and to impart the correct doctrine and reflect Godly
values in the film he/she directs. A teacher also will summit to the apostle’s
direction, this is to help keep him in check as commercial directors often
times has a strong influential character and it may be hard to listen to
anybody.
